The Operators’ Manual mini-series, hosted by award-winning geoscientist, Richard Alley. It explains the essential science of climate change, and the promise of renewable energy to provide for humans’ need for energy. The videos introduce unusual suspects in the discussion of global warming, such as the US Pentagon and wind farmers in West Texas.  Short video clips from the full-length program can be used in course lectures to educate students on a variety of topics, including: Humans and Energy, Wind and Efficiency, and CO2 and the Atmosphere. There is also a noteworthy segment titled “The Pentagon and Climate Change” explaining why the Pentagon accepts the reality of climate change and the need to take action on climate change for a variety of reasons, including national security.
