Resource: The Future of Sustainable Transportation Fuels Forum and Webinar
The Future of Sustainable Transportation Fuels Forum is designed as an open platform to encourage conversations between transportation fuels industry researchers, policy makers, vehicle manufacturers, fuel producers and users. This forum includes a free webinar held in four monthly sessions, and each will be available for viewing after their original air dates.
Webinar 1: Sustainable Transportation Fuels – Anchoring Themes (May 29, 2015)
Webinar 2: Coupling the Electric Power & Transportation Sectors: Beyond Electric Vehicles (June 30, 2015)
Webinar 3: Recycling CO2 to Liquid Hydrocarbon Fuels (Date TBA)
Webinar 4: Challenges and Opportunities in Designing Good Metrics to Assess Promise (Date TBA)
The following two reports provide an excellent introduction to the challenges and opportunities in moving to a low carbon or de-carbonized fuels future. The first, by BSR, The Sustainability Impacts of Fuels, focuses on trucks, but covers a lot of ground important to all fuel uses. The other is the 13 page introductory chapter of Sustainable Transportation Energy Pathways: A Research Summary for Decision Makers, a book being prepared at UC Davis.
