What are the Criteria?

Resources that are included in the SEED Center have been reviewed by the TAG and meet the following criteria:

  • Accessible and available for colleges to model and/or customize to their local labor markets
  • Not to be used as a means to market individual consultants or their products to AACC members
  • Promote colleges becoming generally more innovative

DAYAWAY Renewable Energy Career Listings

 This resource provides college students with searchable listings of available clean energy jobs to help them prepare for and find renewable energy careers. Also, check out their suggested Reading List for more information on the green energy sector.


Global Trends in Renewable Energy Investment Report

 The Global Trends in Renewable Energy Investment Report (GTR) is produced by the Renewable Energy Policy Network and provides an overview of renewable energy market, industry, investment and policy developments worldwide.


Green and Sustainability Jobs and Career Resources

 This article, on the state of green careers, provides information and resources for educators and students on current sustainable career trends and projections. Links to websites featuring sustainability related job offerings, disciplinary based sustainability associations, higher education consortia, and career pathways for students are included.


GRID Alternatives

 The GRID Alternatives’ mission is to make renewable energy technology and job training accessible to under-served communities.It offers volunteer activities and events in the regions where it is active and sponsors a Women in Solar initiative. In addition, it provides news from the industry as well as an informative newsletter.

Renewable Energy and Jobs – Annual Review

This publication presents the status of renewable energy employment, both by technology and in selected countries, over the past year. It is estimated that the renewable energy sector currently employs 8.1 million people globally, a 5% increase from the previous year. Countries with the highest number of renewable energy jobs were China, Brazil, the United States, India, Japan and Germany. Solar PV (photovoltaics) was the largest renewable energy employer with 2.8 million jobs worldwide.

 This searchable database of renewable energy industry standards and publications includes guidelines for products, training, installation, performance and more. Standards for all divisions of renewable energy are included: bioenergy, geothermal, hydropower, ocean energy, solar and wind.

Renewables.Ninja

 Researchers have created an interactive web tool to estimate the amount of energy that could be generated by wind or solar farms any where in the world. This tool, called Renewables.ninja, makes scientific-quality weather and energy data available to a wide community in order to make the task of predicting renewable output easier for both academics and industry.
